Our Story:

 

 

How it all began...

 

We are small in-home (occasional) breeders of beautiful, hand-raised, well-socialized, friendly, healthy, purebred, double-mane Lionhead rabbits, located in Nova Scotia, Canada. Our main focus / passion is "VM" (VM: vienna-marked, carriers, blue-eyes) Lionheads. Quality, DM/VM Lionheads are quite a rarity, in these parts, and we are hoping to “fill this void”, creating and improving our own unique “line”, more and more over time.

 

As lifelong animal lovers and dedicated, proud pet-parents (of many kinds), we were originally looking to add a new bunny to our home, after a death in the family. This led to connecting with many breeders, considering a few breeds of bunnies and to doing massive amounts of research. We ultimately chose the Lionhead breed, which has led us to where we are now in our “labor of love” story!

Our bunnies are, first and foremost, loved and spoiled family members. We invest A LOT into their care and enjoy spending a great deal of time with them each day. We do not believe in keeping rabbits in small cages or having them live separately from the family, all the time. This is such a sad and limited existence for bunnies and they deserve so much more. Our babies are handled from day one and are VERY used to human touch, interaction, daily household noises, other pets etc. We play music for them, sing to them, talk to them and invest many hours each day playing, handling and snuggling with each one. Each of them get very playful/excited (head-tilts, binkies!) as soon as they hear the words “Hi babies!!” and quickly learn to seek out affection, full-body “bunny-massages”, running onto our laps when we go in to sit with them. They are used to human touch, smell and sound before their eyes even open! They grow up in a very clean, enriching environment with lots of space to binkie and play, toys and tunnels to play with, litter-boxes, hidey “caves”, soaker pads/snuggle beds/blankies (washed daily), we provide many varieties of fresh hay, pellets, etc.

 

We take pride in providing meticulous care and strive for our bunnies to be the most personable, social, lovable bunnies around! Our babies will certainly make great family pets and companions. As such, we are VERY picky when choosing suitable, furever, pet-only homes.

*It is our intention to stay small and focused, as we do not wish to contribute to the overwhelming, “dime-a-dozen”/over-population problem of so many mixed rabbits in need of homes.
